Some disadvantages of cloning largely have to do with
morality and one’s own spirituality.
There is a major uncertainty when dealing with science and science
technology. A scientist will never be
able to fully ensure what the exact results will be, if the results will always
remain controlled, etc.
By the time Dolly was “successfully” cloned hundreds of embryos and
newborns had already died. To me that’s
not successful. When dealing with
animals and human life I do not find it morally acceptable to expend numerous
embryos and newborns for maybe 1 positive result or even a few positive
results. Clone of not we’re dealing with
life here.
If the cloning of human beings proves to be successful in
the future shouldn’t we wonder about human extinction? Or what may happen
when a human clone mates with another human clone?
